Commercial Photography - £55+travel (talk) (2hours - with halftime break included)

What's involved in being a commercial photographer? What are the genres of commercial photography? What makes a good commercial photographer? These are some of the questions answered within this talk, along with how photography acts as an important part of marketing within your client's business.

Equipment Needed: Projector and Screen, 1 x power socket.

Flash Talk - £65+travel (talk / practical) (2hours - with halftime break included)

Introduction about me and samples of my work. Talk about the different flash models and modifiers I will then do a live demonstration, with a mannequin that I have and with the available projector; I can make it appear in real time on the screen. This way I can do a practical demonstration where everyone can see instant results.

The second half will then allow people to practice on each other and use my equipment as well. If they wish to bring their camera and flash, they are more than welcome to and I can go around helping people or just help them with the setup on my camera.

Equipment Needed: Projector and Screen, 1 x power socket.
Interaction: Members are encouraged to bring their camera and speed-light.

iPhone and Flash Talk - £65+travel (talk) (2hours - with halftime break included)

The first part of this talk revolves around phone photography (specifically iPhones as that is what I use but it is also applicable to other makes as well). I go through features of the phone to make sure you get the best of using a phone for photography as the leaps and bounds in technology have made these devices a formidable camera for the modern photographer. Please note this is not a talk on how to take photographs but how to make the most of the tools you have.

The seconds part is all about flash photography; specifically, speed lights. It starts with an introduction about me and samples of my work. I talk about the different flash models and modifiers I will then do a live demonstration, with a mannequin that I have and with the available projector; I can make it appear in real time on the screen. This way I can do a practical demonstration where everyone can see instant results.

Equipment Needed: Projector and Screen, 1 x power socket.

Portrait Photography with Model - £125+travel (additional model @ £50) (talk / practical) (2hours - with halftime break included)

This is more practical than talk, although teaching is prominent throughout.

An introduction talk about how studio flash works and how you can manipulate it to your needs. Also, how to interact with a model. 1 or 2 (depending if extra model fee is covered) studio setup(s) will be created. A style of lighting will be explained and created and then people can take turns using this light setup to create their own images. Then, I will do a live demonstration where the results are instantly displayed on the projector screen, before everyone takes their own images. Several light setups will be changed throughout the evening, with an explanation given for each one. The evening will produce images that people can then edit themselves.

Equipment Needed: Projector and Screen, 2 x power socket.
Interaction: Members are encouraged to bring their camera.
